To celebrate Jon's 30th birthday and give our family a much needed pick-me-up, we cashed in our Groupon for the Scenic Route Train in Boone, Iowa. What a day it was! Vinnie slept through all of the two hour drive to the train but was awake and in-tuned to every minute of the train ride. Jon and I enjoyed the scenery and the time together as a family. On our way home we stopped off at Hickory Park for BBQ and the biggest ice cream selection known to man...needless to say Jon had one very happy birthday.We are now gearing up for our carpet install. We have spent the night moving and rearranging to clear out the basement. This is the last of the work to be done in repairing the basement from our water leak all the way back in April. We will be so happy to finally be able to put life back in order!
